We are currently looking for flexible and engaging Cover Supervisors for September 2024 starts in schools in Leeds, to help us keep up with school demand anticipated for the start of the academic year. There are expected to be a multitude of opportunities available from September, across a variety of different secondary schools.

The work can be full or part time - you get to pick the days you wish to do.

We are looking for either experienced cover supervisors, or someone that has experience coaching, mentoring or supporting students in some capacity - whether it's paid or voluntary.

You would be expected to work in schools at short notice and will go in to cover lessons (it could be in any subject) whilst setting high expectations to best motivate and challenge students. It is crucial to manage behaviour effectively and to promote a positive learning climate.

Ideally you will be degree educated with some relevant experience of working with children. You must also be passionate and have a firm commitment to wanting to working with children in school settings. You will develop strong classroom management skills through doing this job, but initially you would be unfazed by challenging behaviour and ready to apply the school policy to combat any negative student behaviours that disrupt lessons. You will need to be reliable, flexible and a strong team player, and ready to accept work at short notice.
