This exciting role is likely to include the opportunity to shape and delivercommunity strategy for other developments. This individual will play a key role in working with, enhancing and developing the Grand Union hub to ensure that the right people, structures and organisations are in place and involved to ensure long-term social sustainability.

Description

Mapping and contacting local stakeholders (Brent to begin) with the potential to support with wider developments.
Supporting the implementation of the St George Community plan.
Developing and implementing a programme of services and activities through partnerships and relationships with community, voluntary and public-sector organisations. The development of new ideas and initiatives where appropriate.
Implementing policies, procedures and agreements for the effective management of the GU Community Hub for user groups and residents (including rental, hire agreements, booking systems, invoicing arrangements, customer service standards, cleaning, health and safety)
The management and supervision of junior staff, contractors, advisers, agents, volunteers (Grand Union hub).
Supporting with day to day reception and operational duties including bookings.
Supporting with an effective financial system for accurate accounting of income and expenditure and budget management.
To support with external funding applications with the aim of generating income for programmes.
Communication with and involvement of partners, Community Hub users/or relevant community stakeholders and residents if based on an alternative scheme Profile

Engaging with different communities (either through work or volunteering).
Working with economically deprived communities.
Working with and/or within multicultural communities.
Building and sustaining effective partnerships.
Knowledge of the management of community centres.
Budget management including income and expenditure.
Knowledge of operational process such as safety and customer services.
Understanding of marketing including digital.
A degree in within Community Development studies OR at least 5 years practical experience within the voluntary or statutory sector. Job Offer
