Waites Recruitment Consultancy are seeking an experienced SITE BASED construction site manager on a full time basis for a client based in Stockport.

My Client is based in Stockport however the first project the successful site manager who is employed will be at a site in Bristol, so you must be willing to travel.

JOB TITLE: Site Manager

LOCATION: (Site Based)

HOURS:7:30-5:00pm with 30 mins for lunch (As Required)

REPORTS TO: Head of Small Works.

Where you fit: As part of the Project Delivery Team you are key to the success of all live projects. Closely aligned to this is the development of yourself, your installers and setting an example to team members that work alongside you.

Key Objective: Responsible for the overall coordination, site management and perfect delivery of the projects you are assigned to work on with your installers.

Job Challenge: Delivering projects, on time, with the highest quality, to a high standard of H&S and leaving our clients with an exceptional level of satisfaction having used Maple for the project. Travelling the North of the UK from Birmingham/Leicester area up to Scotland.

Main tasks:

Management of the installation team to ensure they complete the installation safely, on time and to Maple's standard of quality

Being the liaison between our installers and the client.

Completion of RAMS prior to starting on site.

Create a scope of works for installers to carry out their installation

Creating a schedule of what materials would be required when on site and providing a priority schedule for procurement & manufacture.

Completing all necessary diaries, site reports, plant reports, daily briefings etc.

Collating and filing of all necessary information noted above.

Completing site lists on the project folders of materials required on site and when.

Resolving issues that arise on site without needing to hassle the Contracts Managers.

Attending weekly projects meetings

Completing % status against each line item on the programme each week so the Management Team can track progress.

Complete all necessary Toolbox talks, Daily Briefings, ITP's, H&S inspections.

Key Performance Indicators

These will include but will not be limited to;

Timely Completion and compliance of all HSEQ requirements

Site Diaries - Daily

Plant Reports - Weekly

Progress Photos - Weekly

Signs Off of work - Monthly

Programme Updates - Weekly - Target to Actual.

Managing the Access/Prelim activities on site to what has been budgeted.

Achieving an NPS (Net Promotor Score) of 9 or above.

Qualifications

'A' Level or equivalent standard of education

Construction sector qualification

5 Day SMSTS

NVQ up to level 5/6

CSCS - Suitable for Site Management

IOSHH

Experience

Five years' experience in a construction environment including managing multiple projects at once.

Able to demonstrate success in previous roles of the same nature.

Managerial experience of a similar environment such as fabrication/cladding

Knowledge & Skills

Understanding the construction market and how programmes constantly change and being able to adapt to the needs that week

The cladding market has a lot of interfacing trades and to be able to coordinate our works with other trades whilst maintaining programme is a key skill

Know how to deal with issues. To have had previous experience of challenging sites/projects that proved your ability to be a solution minded person.

Good communicator, able to relate to all types of individuals whether staff or customers

Can demonstrate effective use of own initiative in pressured situations

Solution oriented - you are seen as the person with the solution when issues arise.

Good Leader - to be able to inspire and motivate the team to perform well.
