Financial Accountant

• Salary: £44,000 - £46,000

• Job Type: Full-time, Hybrid with Early Finish Friday

A leading manufacturer in Cookstown is seeking an experienced Financial Accountant to join their established and collaborative team. This is a progressive career opportunity for an articulate, commercially savvy finance professional who is ready to take ownership of the financials and communicate effectively at all levels within the business.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Coordinate and prepare monthly management accounts, including budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis.
• Prepare year-end accounts and Statutory Financial Statements.
• Calculate taxes owed, prepare tax returns, ensure timely submissions, and track payments or refunds (VAT, Corporation Tax).
• Manage relationships with Internal and External Auditors.
• Adhere to all financial and accounting regulations and legislation, including Corporate Policies and Procedures.
• Create and implement efficient methods for accounting and financial record-keeping.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• CIMA, ACA, or ACCA qualification with relevant experience.
• 2-3 years’ experience in a similar financial accounting role, open to both industry and practice applicants.
• Ability to meet strict deadlines with accurate results.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Exceptional communication skills.
