A leading Legal 500 firm in North Manchester is seeking a Senior Commercial Property Solicitor to lead their thriving department as Head of Department (HOD). This is an exciting opportunity for a highly experienced solicitor with a proven track record in commercial property law to take on a leadership role in a dynamic and growing team. Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the commercial property department, ensuring the team delivers high-quality legal services to clients.
• Provide expert legal advice on a broad range of commercial property matters, including acquisitions, disposals, leases, development projects, and property finance.
• Oversee complex and high-value transactions, ensuring timely and effective delivery of services.
• Supervise and mentor junior lawyers, trainees, and support staff, fostering a positive and productive team environment.
• Drive business development initiatives, including networking, building relationships with existing clients, and developing new business opportunities.
• Contribute to the strategic direction of the department and the firm, ensuring alignment with overall business goals.
• Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, maintaining the firm's high standards of practice.
• Represent the department at internal and external meetings, including client meetings, presentations, and industry events.

Key Requirements:

• Qualified Solicitor (5+ years PQE) with extensive experience in commercial property law.
• Proven track record of managing and leading teams, with excellent leadership and mentoring skills.
• Strong business development acumen with the ability to build and maintain client relationships.
• Excellent technical skills, with a detailed understanding of commercial property law, including recent developments and trends.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Outstanding communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• A proactive and commercially focused approach to problem-solving and client service.
