Salary: £155 - £230 per day

We're searching for passionate Law and Criminology teachers to join our team in Preston! In this role, you'll engage and motivate KS3 and KS4 students while earning a competitive daily rate of £155 to £230, based on your experience and qualifications. Join us in shaping the future of young minds!

In this role, you will deliver engaging lessons that cover essential topics such as criminal law, constitutional law, and social justice, fostering critical thinking and analytical skills. Your responsibilities include creating a dynamic learning environment, developing lesson plans, assessing student progress, and providing support to help students achieve their academic goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to subject development by producing, reviewing and updating curriculum plans and schemes of work
  • Strong knowledge of the curriculum
  • Punctual and reliable
  • Teach classes allocated and provide a well planned challenging, purposeful learning environment
  • Develop approach to self - directed learning, use technology to support learning
  • Use assessment data to inform lesson planning
  • Set homework and mark promptly
  • Ensure a high quality of teaching and learning takes place
  • Deal with immediate problems/emergencies according to school policy and procedures
  • Respond to questioning

  • Managing behaviour of pupils whilst undertaking work to ensure a constructive environment
  • Strong classroom management
  • Motivated and enthusiastic demeanour
  • Be an inspiring and engaging communicator
  • Use imagination and innovation to enhance learning experience

Personal attributes:

  • You will have a genuine passion for teaching
  • Experience up to key stage 3/4
  • QTS/PGCE equivalent
  • Be flexible and committed
