Job description:

We have partnered with a cutting-edge healthcare partnership and training practice in Southampton. They are dedicated to improving patient services and training and developing clinicians for the future. They are actively seeking a new a Lead Practice nurse to join their diverse and experienced team of healthcare professionals.

Position Details:

· Job Title: Lead Practice Nurse

· Job Type: Up to 24 hour a week, between Monday and Friday 08:00 -18:00

· Location: Hampshire

· Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 per annum, depending on experience.

NHS Pension, 5 weeks A/L plus BH & one week CPD allowance. Supportive of training, development.

Support Team:

7 GP Partners, 2 Salaried GPs, a compliment of the Nursing, Heath Care Assistants, Phlebotomists, as well as Admin support team.

Main Duties:

The post holder will be the nurse team leader and will also be able to work as part of the whole general practice team as well as autonomously. Demonstrating strong professional decision-making skills and clinical expertise.

They will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of evidence-based nursing care to the Practice population and will actively support the Practice Management team in developing and reviewing clinical policy.

Provide clinical leadership within the nursing team To develop the clinical staff within their roles ensuring appropriate mentoring and support.

The Lead Practice Nurse will be responsible for several clinical areas such as Infection Control.

Health Promotion and Chronic Disease management.

Coordinating Nursing Care and meetings.

Supervising the clinicians within the team.

Have experience dealing with Diabetes, Smears, COPD.
