Polytec are looking for a Quality Engineer for our client based just outside Cambridge. There will be a small amount of travel to visit suppliers generally within the UK with this role, occasionally requiring an overnight stop.

Responsibilities:

* Ensure compliance with ISO9001:2015 QMS
* Assist with adherence to the Quality Management System through internal auditing.
* Monitor and report on product quality and performance.
* Help maintain and audit the calibration process
* Support part qualifications, internally and within the supply chain
* Support root-cause analysis and other problem-solving activities
* Supplier and customer visits for root cause analysis and verification of corrective and preventive action

Requirements:

* Excellent people skills with the ability to influence others
* Focused, target driven with a positive, can-do attitude
* Experience of working within a similar manufacturing environment
* In-depth knowledge of ISO9001:2015 QMS.
* Experience in internal auditing
* Experienced in problem solving, analysis, judgement and decision making for complex problems, using root cause analysis tools
* Good understanding of Microsoft Office especially Excel
* Ability to discuss technical problems with customers, suppliers, engineers, and senior management teams
