Position: Histopathology Technician

Location: St Richards Hospital

Contract Duration: asap till 6 months

Working Hours: 09:00 - 17:00

Pay Rates: £21 - £23 per hour

Pay Mechanism: Direct Engagement

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform all aspects of routine histopathology laboratory work.
• Conduct microtomy sectioning, including:
  • Standard and mega sections
  • Single sections
  • Levels and cores
• Execute routine H&E staining using Leica Spectra.
• Maintain high standards of quality control and assurance in laboratory processes.
• Collaborate effectively with the pathology team to ensure efficient workflow.
• Document and report result accurately.

Essential Qualifications:

• Relevant qualification in Histology or Cellular Pathology.
• Experience in a histopathology laboratory, particularly in microtomy and H&E staining.

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
