Based primarily in Bootle and Southport, practitioners deliver a range of therapies up to and including Step 4 interventions.
About the roleThe successful candidate will work alongside the Step 2 Leads and all members of the Step 2 Team to ensure appropriate clinical support and guidance is given to the step 2 workforce and that the needs of the clients NHS Sefton Talking Therapies serves are being met. You must be a qualified Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner or a Qualified Graduate Mental Health Worker with at least 1 year post qualification experience and can provide evidence of working with people who have experienced a mental health problem. You will also be able to demonstrate an understanding of anxiety and depression and how it may present in Primary Care. Duties include:
- Provide a service that is flexible, as far as possible, to meet the demands of the client.
- Have the ability to offer evidence-based practice in facilitated self-help and group work
- Develop, support and train innovative practice to Trainee & Qualified PWP's and to Primary Care colleagues, such as health visitors and to colleagues in statutory and non-statutory organisations.
- Promote and contribute to the development and maintenance of a healthy therapeutic culture within the service amongst colleagues and the people who use the service.
About youYou should have a real interest in helping people with anxiety and depression to achieve a level of recovery which will improve their overall wellbeing and day to day life.An understanding of PWP supervision is desirable, however on-the-job training is available to the successful candidate, as you will be responsible for the clinical and case management supervision of both trainee and qualified PWP's.
