Charge Nurse (RMN) - Acute Mental Health Service

Salary: Up to £45,000 | Hours: Full-Time, 37.5 hours per week

Our client, a leading provider of acute mental health services with a Good CQC rating, is seeking an experienced Charge Nurse (RMN) to join their team. This role is ideal for someone who values patient-centred care and is dedicated to making a positive impact in an acute mental health setting.

Experience & Qualifications
  • Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) with a valid NMC PIN.
  • Previous experience in a mental health setting, ideally in an acute care environment.
  • Proven ability to lead a team and demonstrate clinical expertise.
  • Experience with acute mental health patient care.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on compassionate care.

About the Role
The Charge Nurse will play a key role in delivering high-quality care while supporting the well-being of patients and staff. They'll have the opportunity to work in a supportive environment where continuous learning and professional development are encouraged.
  • Provide clinical expertise and guidance, supporting staff through regular supervision, reflective practice, and peer support.
  • Conduct patient assessments, develop and evaluate individualized care plans, and coordinate care within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and clinical governance standards, maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records.
  • Actively contribute to patient recovery and well-being by creating a safe, therapeutic environment.
  • Champion the "Freedom to Speak Up" and "Your Say" initiatives, encouraging staff input and improvements in care.
  • Manage emergencies and complex cases, using clinical judgment and advanced skills to support patient outcomes.
