The Role
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated English Teacher to join our dynamic team in January 2025. This is a full-time, permanent position. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and high-quality lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4. You will play a key role in helping students develop a love for English Literature and Language, supporting their progress through well-planned lessons, assessments, and pastoral care.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons in line with the national curriculum
Inspire students to develop their reading, writing, and analytical skills
Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and support
Contribute to the development of the English department and participate in school-wide initiatives
Ensure a safe and stimulating classroom environment
Support the personal and academic development of students through pastoral careAbout You:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
A degree in English or a related subject
Strong subject knowledge and passion for teaching English
Experience teaching English to secondary school students, including GCSE and A-Level
Excellent communication and classroom management skills
A commitment to fostering a positive learning environment and achieving the best outcomes for all students
