Job Title: Asbestos Lab Analyst.

A recognised and reputable Environmental Consultancy with a national presence are now seeking to take on an Asbestos Lab Analyst to join their team in the West Midlands region. The successful candidate will have extensive experience working in a fast-paced UKAS accredited Asbestos Laboratory, carrying out sample analysis in line with HSG 248 guidelines. For the successful candidate, our client can offer training into other environmental sectors, enrolment onto company pension scheme, generous holiday allowance, and competitive basic salary.

Consideration will be given to candidates from: Birmingham, Cannock, Aldridge, Wolverhampton, Dudley, Lichfield, Tamworth, Wolverhampton, West Bromwich, Rugley, Stafford, Telford.

Experience & Qualifications:
" Holding the BOHS P401 is essential to the role.
" Will have experience working in a busy, UKAS accredited Asbestos Laboratory.
" Keen eye for detail.
" Excellent organisational skills, prioritising workload in line with company and client needs.
" Good IT skills.
" In depth knowledge of HSG 248 guidelines.

The Role:
" Efficiently logging all samples onto internal systems upon arrival to the laboratory.
" Safely bagging and correctly labelling and storing samples.
" Carrying out safe working practices, preparing samples for analysis.
" Using PLM and stereo microscopy to carry out sample analysis in line with HSG 248 guidelines.
" Assisting in maintaining the companies UKAS accreditation.
" Completing job sheets based on sample analysis in a timely manner.
" Liaising with clients, providing excellent support and technical advice when required.
" Ensuring the lab is always clean, and all relevant equipment is correctly calibrated to ensure accuracy.
