Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Construction Estimator to join our team and play a key role in the pre-construction and tendering phases of our projects.Role Overview:As a Construction Estimator, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for a variety of construction projects. Working closely with project managers, quantity surveyors, and clients, you will ensure that all estimates are thorough, realistic, and aligned with project goals and timelines.Key Responsibilities:*Prepare detailed cost estimates and tender submissions for construction projects.*Analyse drawings, specifications, and other documentation to prepare accurate estimates.*Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain up-to-date pricing and quotes.*Assess project risks, constraints, and opportunities, incorporating them into cost plans.*Attend site visits and client meetings as necessary to fully understand project requirements.*Collaborate with the project team to develop value engineering options and cost-saving strategies.*Maintain a database of historical costs and pricing information.*Monitor industry trends and changes in material and labour costs.Requirements:*Proven experience in construction estimating, ideally within residential and/or commercial sectors.*Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and regulations.*Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.*Excellent numerical and analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.*Strong communication and negotiation skills.*Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines.*A relevant qualification in construction management, quantity surveying, or a related field is preferred.What We Offer:*Competitive salary of £55,000 - £70,000 (DOE)*Company pension scheme*Ongoing professional development and training*Supportive and collaborative work environment*Opportunities for career progression #LI-PB1
