Their cutting-edge technology powers hybrid and all-electric propulsion solutions in sectors such as Urban Air Mobility (UAM), Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs), and General Aviation (GA).

With a focus on delivering ultra-high-performance, low-weight axial-flux motors and power electronics, their systems are smaller, lighter, and more robust than competing technologies. Operating from a state-of-the-art facility in Oxfordshire, the company is equipped with custom test and validation labs and has the capacity to produce up to 20,000 units annually.

The Opportunity
On behalf of our client, we are seeking an experienced and hands-on EMC Engineer to join their Test and Validation team. This is a critical role, where you will work closely with their Test, Hardware, Software and Power Electronics teams to ensure products meet stringent EMC compliance requirements, particularly for high-voltage applications. Your contributions will directly impact the development of electric propulsion systems that support the decarbonisation of the aerospace sector.

Key Responsibilities:
*Set up and execute EMC tests to ensure compliance and optimal performance of high-voltage electric propulsion systems.
*Prepare and maintain detailed test reports, create testing procedures, and ensure all documentation is thorough and accurate.
*Collaborate with the Hardware, Software and Power Electronics team on design and testing, troubleshooting, and system optimization for EMC compliance.
*Develop and implement best practices for EMC testing in high-voltage environments.
*Ensure compliance with relevant aerospace industry standards, including DO-160 for environmental conditions and testing.
*Provide expertise in problem-solving throughout the product development lifecycle.
*Work proactively to ensure that all testing meets internal and external standards.

What We're Looking For:
*Strong background in EMC testing and EMC compliance, with hands-on experience in high-voltage systems.
*Practical experience in test setups, running diagnostics, and analysing results.
*Knowledge and experience with DO-160 standards and their application in the aerospace industry.
*Ability to produce clear and detailed technical reports and documentation.
*A proactive and collaborative approach, with the ability to contribute ideas and improve processes.
*Self-driven, with the ability to work independently and influence how the role evolves.
*Degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering or equivalent industry experience.

Why Join Them
*Be part of a pioneering company driving innovation in aerospace electrification.
*Work on exciting, cutting-edge projects that shape the future of electric propulsion.
*Join a supportive environment that values trust, autonomy, and personal growth.
*The company is recognised in the Sunday Times Best Places to Work 2024, with regular company events, volunteering days, and paid professional memberships.

Benefits:
*30 days holiday plus bank holidays
*4x life insurance
*Private health insurance
*The opportunity to work on groundbreaking projects that are transforming the aerospace industry.
