Teaching Assistant (KS1)

Are you a caring, enthusiastic Teaching Assistant with a passion for supporting early learning and making a genuine difference in children's lives? Teach Now is delighted to be working with a warm and welcoming primary school in the Camden area that is looking for a Key Stage 1 Teaching Assistant to join their inclusive and nurturing team.

This is a full-time, temporary position ideal for someone who is committed, reliable, and ready to jump in and make an impact from day one.

The school is a vibrant and community-oriented two-form entry primary with a deep commitment to inclusion and high-quality education for all. Located in a lively and diverse part of Camden, it's easily accessible by Tube and bus, and boasts a spacious, well-equipped campus with a modern approach to learning.

The staff are incredibly supportive and passionate, and leadership is hands-on and approachable, offering ongoing training and regular feedback. This is a fantastic environment for both experienced TAs and those looking to expand their classroom knowledge.

The Role:

• You will be working across Key Stage 1, focusing on delivering booster sessions, targeted literacy and numeracy interventions, and supporting children with special educational needs (SEN).

Responsibilities include:

• Supporting pupils 1:1 and in small groups.
• Assisting with phonics, reading, and early maths interventions.
• Helping to create and maintain a safe, positive classroom atmosphere.
• Working closely with SENCOs and class teachers to deliver personalised support.

Requirements:

• Experience working in a Key Stage 1 setting preferred.
• Knowledge of phonics and KS1 curriculum is desirable.
• A proactive, nurturing approach and excellent communication skills.
• Experience supporting children with SEN is a strong advantage.
