Assistant Syndicate Accountant

Finitas has teamed up with a leading London based reinsurance company to recruit an Assistant Syndicate Accountant. This role focuses on supporting the accurate and timely close of accounting ledgers, along with preparing and submitting regulatory returns.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure timely posting and reconciliation of cash transactions and daily settlements
• Prepare and review essential reconciliations, including syndicate balance sheets and intercompany accounts
• Collaborate across teams (Risk, Compliance, Operations) and support regulatory and audit requirements

Requirements:

• 1+ years in the Lloyd's insurance market, specializing in multi-currency ledger closings
• Strong UK GAAP knowledge and advanced Excel skills
• Highly organized, self-driven professional with proven problem-solving and analytical skills
