Maintenance Engineer

Circa £16 per hour - Flexibility DOE

Monday to Friday - 37.5 hours

Days 6am-2pm with occasional evening shift of 12pm-10pm

We are currently working with our leading steel stockholding client who are looking to recruit an experienced Maintenance Engineer. You will be joining a highly skilled team of Engineers onsite to support with the maintenance and upkeep of a variety of onsite machinery.

You will be responsible for conducting general maintenance tasks, preventative maintenance, and reacting to machine breakdowns.

Our client offers a friendly and supportive work environment with the opportunity to attend training courses.

This role will require travel to a secondary site when needed, however expenses will be covered, and a company van will be provided.

The Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for:

* Day to day maintenance of onsite machinery and equipment

* Working on planned and preventative maintenance tasks (PPM)

* Reacting to machine breakdowns in a timely fashion

* Adhering to all health and safety regulations onsite

* Working independently or as part of a team

Skills and Experience

* Experience working as either Mechanical or Electrical Maintenance Engineer

* Apprentice trained or relevant qualifications

* Hydraulic and pneumatic experience

* 17th or 18th edition

* Able to read technical drawings and schematics

* This role would suit a candidate who has previously worked as a Maintenance Engineer / Multiskilled Engineer / Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer / Mechanical Engineer / Mechanical Maintenance Engineer / Electrical Engineer / Electrical Maintenance Engineer
