Long Term Futures is seeking a confident and adaptable Cover Supervisor to join a thriving secondary school in Hackney. This role involves supervising classes across Year 7 to Sixth Form, ensuring lessons run smoothly in the absence of teaching staff. Whether you're an experienced teacher, a recent graduate with tutoring experience, or an aspiring teacher looking to gain valuable school experience, this role is an excellent opportunity to develop your skills in a supportive environment.

You'll play a key role in maintaining a positive learning atmosphere, ensuring students remain engaged and focused on their work.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise classes across a range of year groups, ensuring students stay on task and complete assigned work
Manage behaviour and support students to meet classroom expectations
Build positive relationships with students and staff, fostering a collaborative and respectful environment
Provide additional support to students where required, helping them access their learning materials
Step into other responsibilities as needed, such as assisting with exam invigilation or small group interventionsAbout the School:

Previous experience in a teaching, tutoring, or classroom-based role, or a relevant degree with aspirations to teach
Confident in managing a classroom and engaging with students across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5
Strong communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with students and staff
A proactive, adaptable attitude, and the ability to handle varied situations calmly and effectively
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of childrenAdditional Details:

Full-time, Monday to Friday
Paid £125 - £140 per day, term time only
Based in Hackney, London - easily accessible by public transport
