Are you a Mechanical Design Engineer looking to become a technical lead, with autonomy to make your mark and shape the design function of an innovative and industry leading manufacturing company?

Responsible for delivering successful projects to both internal and external stakeholders, the Senior Mechanical Design Engineer will take ownership of the full product lifecycle from initial concept through to build and support of commissioning and installation, whilst setting the standard in the design and development of our world-class machinery.

The company is a global leader in the packaging industry, breaking into various markets across the globe including medical and food. With this role and joining a global brand, comes international exposure and opportunities.

This role would suit a Mechanical Design Engineer or similar, with experience in design and development of assembly products, and hydraulic or pneumatic systems, ideally from a food, medical, oil and gas, agricultural, industrial or water treatment background.

The Role:

Perform design work on both customer projects and development projects.
Attend specification meetings with global customers and provide authoritative contributions regarding the mechanical design aspects of projects.
Take responsibility for all the mechanical aspects of a project and provide technical guidance to internal and external customers as necessary.
Communicate with other design engineers (mechanical and electrical) during the design of projects to ensure that these disciplines are fully coordinated.
Make occasional visits to both UK and international destinations as necessitated by the customer project or development project requirements.The Person:

Experienced in the design of electro-mechanical mechanisms and equipment.
Advanced 3D modeling skills (preferably Solid Works) Sheet metal an advantage.
Engineering Degree (Mechanical, Mechatronics, Integrated) Minimum HNCPlease apply via the link!
