Yolk Recruitment is partnered with a global leader in its specialist field as it continues to grow, and has created a new opportunity for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team.

This is what you'll be doing:

Act as a site Mechanical lead in a multi-disciplined team of Development Engineers
Develop and design robust products, with involvement in the full product lifecycle
Contribute to the optimisation of existing products / sustaining engineering projects
Communicate with subcontract manufacturers, assessing capabilities and solving technical issues
Regularly liaise with internal stakeholders - Quality, Production, Procurement, to solve technical issues
Create and manage all data necessary for design files - 2D, 3D, general arrangements.
Develop existing product in line with customer feedback and optimisation projects
Support product testing strategiesThis is what you'll bring

Mechanical Engineering degree
Relevant experience in a Mechanical Design / Development / R&D role
Experience in a regulated sector working to formal standards is advantageous - e.g. aerospace, automotive, medical
Knowledge of flexible materials is advantageous
Project management experience is advantageousWhat you can expect in return:
