Location: Wimbledon, London
Contract: Ad-hoc shifts available periodically
Pay Rates:

* Standard: £38.77 per hour

* Saturday & Sunday: £41.22 per hour

* Bank Holidays: £42.00 per hour

Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Scrub Nurse (RGN) to join a well-established surgical team in Wimbledon, London. This is a fantastic opportunity to work flexible shifts in a fast-paced theatre environment, assisting in a variety of surgical procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

* Provide specialist perioperative nursing care within the theatre environment.

* Assist the surgical team by preparing instruments, equipment, and sterile field for procedures.

* Ensure strict adherence to infection control and aseptic techniques.

* Work closely with surgeons, anaesthetists, and theatre staff to deliver high-quality patient care.

* Monitor and support patients before, during, and after surgical procedures.

* Accurately complete theatre documentation and ensure patient safety at all times.

* Maintain and check surgical instruments and theatre equipment.

* Support junior staff and new team members in learning scrub techniques.

Requirements:

* Registered General Nurse (NMC) or Operating Department Practitioner (HCPC) with valid registration.

* Previous scrub experience in a theatre setting is essential.

* Ability to work across a range of surgical specialities.

* Strong knowledge of theatre policies, procedures, and protocols.

* Excellent communication, attention to detail, and ability to work in a high-pressure environment.
