Health and Safety Manager Contractor

Reddbrick are recruiting for a Regional Contractor with a proven track record of successfully delivering high-profile construction projects across the Midlands and throughout the UK.

Currently, they are seeking a talented and experienced Health and Safety Manager to join their team and to oversee Health and Safety processes across the whole group.

Health and Safety Manager role
Applicants should have a background within Building and Construction and hold an excellent understanding of construction health & safety legislation.

Experience of Fit out and Refurbishement projects including passive fire works would be advantageous.

This role is subject to an enhanced DBS check.

Health and Safety Manager responsibilities
The Health and Safety Manager will report to the Construction Director and the successful candidate would have responsibility of supporting project delivery team on multiple projects, you will ensure that the company's health, safety, quality and environmental system is managed and implemented effectively.

The Manager will foster a safety-first culture across the organisation, promoting employee engagement and participation in health and safety initiatives.

Encourage proactive safety behaviours at all levels of the organisation, and communicate the importance of health and safety to staff.

Run campaigns and initiatives to promote workplace health and well-being, including mental health awareness, ergonomic safety, and stress management.

Health and Safety Manager Skills required:
• NEBOSH Construction / IOSH
• Strong Communication and Presentation Skills
• Good IT Skills
• Knowledge of OHSAS 18001 / ISO 9001 / ISO 14001
• Ability to write reports
• Strong Organisational Skills
• Ability to positively promote best practice
