Location: UK Wide (Offshore/Onshore , Ideally Near Main Transportation Hubs)
Salary : 45k - 55k Circa + Pay enhancements for offshore and onshore site work + Overtime payments + Company Car

About the Role:
We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Fire & Gas Commissioning Engineer to join my clients dynamic Oil & Gas team in the UK. This role is perfect for someone with a passion for commissioning and servicing fire and gas detection systems across both offshore and land-based sites. Youll be part of a specialized Detection and Control team, ensuring safety and operational efficiency for critical systems.

Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct on-site calibration and testing of fire and gas detection systems.
• Develop and implement test procedures.
• Interpret Cause & Effect diagrams and procedures to ensure system functionality.
• Investigate, diagnose, and repair faults as needed.
• Liaise with clients and project engineers to ensure successful project execution.
• Oversee and mentor junior engineers.
• Write detailed reports and maintain accurate project documentation.
• Provide ongoing technical support to clients and team members.
• Ensure all work is performed following the highest safety standards.
• Train operational staff on the use of fire and gas detection systems.

What We're Looking For
• Proven experience in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum qualification in Electrical/Electronic or Control and Instrumentation Engineering.
• Experience interpreting technical specifications.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office packages.
• Knowledge of Fire & Gas Detection Equipment.
• Experience with Tyco Fire & Gas Detection Systems.
• Preferred Qualifications:
• HNC/HND in Electrical/Electronic Engineering.
• FS Eng (TÜV Certified).
• Previous experience as a Fire & Gas Commissioning Engineer.
• Knowledge of software-based systems and legacy Wormald/Tyco Fire & Gas Detection Panels.
• Up-to-date Offshore Survival and Medical Certificates.
• Full UK Driving License.
