GSL EDUCATION IS LOOKING FOR FULL TIME Behaviour Mentors (KS 3-4) in Plymouth

Are you enthusiastic about supporting children with learning difficulties at school? Do you have a strong commitment to offering high-quality assistance and personalised support to students in need? GSL Education is seeking a Behaviour Mentors for a SEN school in Plymouth for children with Autism, ADHD and SEMH. This position involves leading small group interventions and encouraging positive behaviour in the classroom. The school is dedicated to an inclusive and innovative educational approach, aiming to address the diverse needs of all students to help them achieve their full potential. Previous experience working in a school environment or with children who have additional needs would be advantageous.

We are looking for full time applicants who have a UK driving license and are able to drive.

Your responsibilities will include:

Assisting teachers in implementing behaviour management strategies.
Providing one-on-one support to students with behavioural and learning challenges.
Collaborating with the school's SENCO and other professionals to create tailored intervention plans.
Supporting the overall well-being of students and contributing to a positive school ethos.
Qualifications:

Previous experience working with children or young people in an educational setting.
Understanding of behaviour management strategies and their application in a school environment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
A patient and empathetic approach to supporting students with diverse needs.
Relevant qualifications in education or psychology would be advantageous.
