About the Role

Our client specializes in advanced HVAC systems, focusing on energy-efficient technologies like heat pumps and chillers. Their products are tailored for commercial clients across various sectors, ensuring optimal performance and energy savings.

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Applications and Design Engineer to join a dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and developing innovative and sustainable HVAC solutions for their diverse client base.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in designing HVAC systems tailored to the client's needs, including selecting appropriate equipment, calculating loads, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and codes.
Customize system designs to optimize energy efficiency and performance, taking into account environmental factors, building size, and usage.
Use HVAC design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, or specialized HVAC tools) to create system layouts and schematics.
Provide technical assistance to sales teams and customers by understanding their HVAC system requirements and recommending appropriate solutions.
Serve as the primary technical resource for customers during the design and selection of HVAC equipment.
Analyze customer specifications and applications to ensure that proposed solutions meet technical requirements and performance standards.
Prepare detailed technical drawings and specifications for HVAC systems.
Conduct site visits to assess project requirements and gather necessary data.
Stay abreast of the latest advancements in HVAC technology and industry best practices.
Contribute to the development and improvement of internal design processes and procedures.About the Candidate

Essential Qualifications: 
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
Proven experience in HVAC design and engineering, with a strong focus on commercial applications.
In-depth knowledge of HVAC principles, load calculations, energy efficiency, and system optimization.
Experience with heat pump and chiller technologies.
Proficiency in using HVAC design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, HAP).
Desirable Qualifications: 
Chartered Engineer (C.Eng) status.
Experience with building information modeling (BIM).
Knowledge of sustainable building design principles and green building standards.
Key Skills: 
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong 1 attention to detail and accuracy.
