Our client, Walsall Council, is seeking an Advanced Practitioner its Mental Health team.

The pay rate available is £38 umbrella. The initial assignment length is 6 weeks – as this is a short-term role we require someone who can start quickly.

There is hybrid working available. 2 days required onsite in Walsall (Tuesdays and Thursdays).

Details of the role:

• Supervising and line managing staff
• Absence management
• Quality approving reports
• Mentoring
• Ensuring legal compliance.
• Meeting chairing
• Working with the MDT
• Undertaking care act duties, s9 assessments, s27 reviews.
• Supporting with s117 aftercare and alternative duties in line with the MCA 2005, MHA 83/07, Equality Act 2010 and additional relevant legislations.

Requirements of the role:

• Qualified Social Worker
• Fully Social Work England registered
• Must have significant post-qualified experience in adult social care
• Experience of the duties listed above including supervising staff, and management of a team
