Part time Teaching Assistant - Mainstream Primary School, Watford WD18

Position: Teaching Assistant
Location: Watford, WD18
Contract Type: Part-time - ASAP start until July
Hours: 9am - 12.30pm Monday to Friday
Salary: £50-£60 half day

We working with a fantastic mainstream primary school in Watford, who are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join their vibrant and caring school community.

The Role:

* Working with on a 1:1 basis with a boy in Year 3 between 9am-11.30pm who has ASD & SEMH.

* Then for the rest of the day supporting in class as well other children with additional needs

* You will work closely with class teachers to support children with a range of additional needs within a mainstream classroom.

* You will help to create a supportive and engaging environment, tailoring your approach to meet individual needs and ensuring that all pupils have the opportunity to thrive.

About You: We are looking for someone who is passionate about supporting children with SEN and has the following:

* Previous experience working with SEN children with ASD & SEMH, preferably in a primary school OR SEN setting

* Understanding of the various special educational needs and strategies for supporting them

* Patience, empathy, and the ability to motivate and inspire children

* Strong communication and teamwork skills

* A positive and flexible approach to working in a dynamic school environment
