As a Year 7 Transition Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in facilitating the smooth transition of students from primary to secondary school. Working closely with students, parents and colleagues, you will create a nurturing and inclusive learning environment that supports both academic and personal development.

Responsibilities:

Design and deliver engaging lessons tailored to the diverse needs of Year 7 students
Provide pastoral care and support to aid students in adapting to the challenges of secondary school life
Collaborate with primary and secondary school staff to ensure a seamless transition process
Monitor student progress and implement interventions when necessary to support their academic and socio-emotional growth
Organise transition events and activities to familiarise students with their new school environment
Requirements:

Qualified teacher status (QTS) or equivalent
Prior experience working with Year 7 students or in a transition role is desirable but not essential
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
The ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues
A commitment to promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion in the classroom
