Our client is a leading electronic specialist within design and manufacturers currently seeking a specialist Process Technician to join the growing team.

The Role
Due to extended growth, we are seeking a skilled technician to join our roll to join the manufacturing team, with specific responsibility for our cutting-edge dynamic press.  The ideal candidate will be responsible for all aspects of the equipment setup, operation, optimization, troubleshooting and routine maintenance. A core part of the role will include the development of new processing techniques and supporting cross-functional team activities. Working in a commercially sensitive environment, this role will require both technical competence and discretion to ensure our intellectual property is kept secure from potential competitors.

Responsibilities

Setup, operate, and monitor dynamic press.
Program and adjust parameters to optimize performance and quality.
Maximize production capacity and efficiency.
Maintain accurate logs of material usage and ensure inventory is appropriately replenished.
Liaise with suppliers to identify and source new materials.
Client facing role, promoting the company's technical expertise and manufacturing prowess.Process Development and Improvement:

Develop press parameters, analyse and test to meet customer specification.
Define and document work instructions and procedures.
Analyse production data to identify areas for improvement.
Implement process changes to enhance quality and efficiency.
Contribute to the New Product Introduction process.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.Maintenance and Troubleshooting:

Define and document PPM procedures.
Conduct routine maintenance, including machine cleaning.
Diagnose and troubleshoot machine issues, in conjunction with maintenance department.
Liaise with machine manufacturer for servicing, repairs and upgrades.
Maintain detailed maintenance logs and equipment history records.
Define and maintain critical spares.Safety and Compliance:

Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and regulations.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Properly handle and dispose of redundant materials.Experience

Experience of laminate manufacturing or similar operation where roll handling machines were involved.
Technical troubleshooting & process optimisation.
Self-disciplined with the ability to lead and coordinate a small team.
A passion and curiosity to learn and develop.
Strong attention to detail.
Ability to interpret engineering drawings.
Competent use of general engineering measuring tools.
Documentation and record-keeping.
Data interpretation and analysis.
Microsoft Word and Excel proficiency.
Report writing using deductive reasoning capability.
Strong communication and presentation skills.
Safety compliance.Qualifications

A degree in a relevant engineering field is preferred.
NVQ and BTEC training levels with a high level of experience within an engineering environment will be considered.Experience

Experience in electronic, flexible printed circuit or general complex manufacturing environment.
Minimum of 2 years' experience operating lamination or press systems, preferably in PCB or flexible circuit manufacturing.
Experience with roll-to-roll manufacturing processes is highly desirable.
Demonstrate data evaluation and documentation within a previous role.Package

Holiday: 25 days plus bank holidays.
