Overview
We are seeking a skilled CNC Setter/Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of engineering principles, with a formal qualification being preferable. Full operating and programming knowledge of Siemens 828D Shopmill and Protrak operating systems for XYZ LR500 VMC and LX 1630 Lathe is essential. Experience with the Datron engraving machine would be beneficial but not essential. Proficiency in basic Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, email, etc.) is an added bonus.

Responsibilities

* Setting up and operating CNC machines

* Programming Siemens 828D Shopmill and Protrak operating systems for XYZ LR500 VMC and LX 1630 Lathe

* Ensuring the quality and accuracy of machined parts

* Performing regular maintenance and troubleshooting of CNC equipment

* Adhering to safety and quality standards

* Collaborating with the engineering team to optimize production processes

* Documenting production and machine maintenance activities

Qualifications

* Extensive knowledge of engineering principles, with a formal qualification being preferable

Day-to-day
The CNC Setter/Operator will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC machines, programming Siemens 828D Shopmill and Protrak operating systems for XYZ LR500 VMC and LX 1630 Lathe, ensuring the quality and accuracy of machined parts, performing regular maintenance and troubleshooting, and collaborating with the engineering team to optimize production processes.

Hours - 40 week

Either

Monday to Thursday - 6.00am - 3.00pm (Including 15 mins paid morning break & 30 mins unpaid Lunch)

Friday - 7.00am - 1.00pm (Including 15 mins paid morning break)

Or

Monday to Thursday - 5.00am - 3.30pm
