We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Maths Tutor to join a professional and understanding in Luton, within the education and training sector. The ideal candidate will have experience working with students with special educational needs (SEN) and a passion for making maths accessible and engaging for all learners. As an SEN Maths Tutor in Luton, you will provide tailored, one-to-one, and small group support to students, helping them overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential in mathematics.

Key Responsibilities of SEN Maths Tutor:
- Delivering personalised maths tutoring sessions to students with SEN, adapting teaching methods to suit individual learning needs.
- Working with students across various age groups, helping them develop mathematical understanding and problem-solving skills.
- Developing and implementing individualised learning plans (ILPs) in collaboration with SEN staff, parents, and other professionals.
- Using creative and practical approaches to make maths engaging and accessible, incorporating multi-sensory resources where appropriate.
- Monitoring student progress, providing regular feedback, and adjusting teaching strategies as needed.
- Supporting students with additional needs, including dyslexia, ADHD, autism, and other learning differences.
- Maintaining a positive, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment for all students.
- Liaising with teachers, parents, and support staff to ensure a consistent approach to each student's learning.
Requirements:
- Experience working as a tutor, teacher, or teaching assistant with students who have SEN.
- Strong knowledge of mathematics and the ability to adapt teaching strategies to suit individual needs.
- Patience, empathy, and a passion for supporting students with learning difficulties.
- Familiarity with SEN strategies, such as multi-sensory approaches, and an understanding of conditions like autism, dyslexia, and ADHD.
- A relevant qualification in education, mathematics, or SEN (e.g., Level 3 Supporting Teaching and Learning, PGCE, or equivalent) is desirable.
- Enhanced DBS clearance (or willingness to undergo one).
- Local commute to Luton
