Location: Preston

Reed/LTA are looking of an experienced EYFS Teaching Assistant, qualified to at least Level 2 or 3, to provide cover for an absence in nursery/reception class. This temporary position where you will be supporting a maximum of 12 children, consisting of 5 nursery and 7 reception pupils. 

The role will be from 8.45am to 3.30pm

• Support the delivery of the EYFS curriculum within the nursery/reception class.
• Engage with children in both structured activities and free play, ensuring a safe and stimulating environment.
• Assist with the preparation of teaching materials and the setup of activities.
• Observe and record children’s progress, sharing information with the class teacher.
• Provide individual care to children, including those with specific needs, ensuring their well-being.
• Facilitate a positive learning environment and manage behaviour in line with school policies.

• A Level 2 or Level 3 EYFS Teaching Assistant qualification.
• Proven experience working within an EYFS setting.
• Strong understanding of the EYFS framework and child development.
• Ability to work effectively with children aged between 3-5 years.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
• A patient, caring, and creative approach to supporting young children’s learning.
