Are you a resilient individual in nature who has a passion for supporting children or individuals with challenging behaviour?

Do you have experience working with Social, Emotional and Mental Health Needs either from the Care Sector or the classroom?

Sennen Education is currently working with a specialist alternative provision setting who specialises in providing a tailored and supportive experience to pupils who have various Social, Emotional and Mental Health Needs. This school's main aim is to enable all children to live remarkable lives and the setting has specialised provisions specific to various pupil needs which includes:

* Opportunities for Outdoor Learning.

* Specialised 1-1 or group support when required.

* ASC Supportive Strategies.

* Behavioural Plans and Medical Support.

The Role:

* Making a positive difference to the lives of young people who have experienced Childhood Trauma

* Supporting learners with emotional dysregulation

* Outreach work (including driving responsibilities although not essential)

* Providing tailored support to individuals or in a small group basis

* Liaising and collaborating with multi-agency professionals to ensure the learner's needs are met

* Developing and implementing strategies to engage the learner

* Building positive, trusting relationships with individuals

Ideal Candidates will:

* Have previous experience working with challenging behaviours either from the classroom environment or a Care and Support Background.

* Will be confident and have excellent communication skills

* Work collaboratively with the learning support team

As such, all post holders are subject to a satisfactory Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. If you do not have a subscription to the DBS Update Service, you may be required to complete a new DBS application as part of the registration process.
