Location: Bristol

Salary: £100,000 circa

Your New Company: Join a leading Main Contractor appointed under a Construction Management contract to oversee a £30m+ residential project in Bristol. This company is known for managing high-end projects with precision and excellence. They are now seeking a skilled Commercial Manager for a minimum 2 year contract to ensure the commercial success of this significant project.

Your New Role: As the Commercial Manager, you will be crucial in overseeing the financial and contractual aspects of the residential project. You will manage cost estimates, budgets, and procurement activities, working closely with the client, project managers, architects, and contractors to ensure the project's commercial success.

Key Responsibilities:

* Manage cost estimates, budgets, and financial reporting for the Management Contractor and their client.

* Handle Trade Contractor's change requests, valuations, and final accounts on behalf of the Management Contractor's client.

* Conduct risk assessments and implement effective cost control measures.

* Lead a team of Quantity Surveyors, providing management, guidance, and support.

* Collaborate with stakeholders to optimize project outcomes.

* Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.

* Procure approximately 30 Trade Contract packages on behalf of the Management Contractor's client.

What You'll Need to Succeed:

* Extensive experience in a Commercial Manager or Senior Surveyor role with a Tier 1 Main Contractor.

* Preferably both PQS and Contractor Commercial Management experience due to the Construction Management form of this contract.

* Experience in a client-facing commercial lead role, reporting to both clients and internal directors.

* Proven track record in delivering high-end residential projects.

* High-level contract knowledge, preferably with experience in JCT Construction Management contracts.

* Strong procurement, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting skills.

* Excellent IT, analytical, and negotiation skills.

* Ability to be onsite in Bristol at least 4 days a week.
