Our client is seeking a Registered Manager for a 4-bed children’s residential service in Derby, specialising in supporting children and young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD). This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled leader who is passionate about delivering high-quality care and making a positive difference.
Key Responsibilities:
- Overseeing the day-to-day management of the service, ensuring compliance with Ofsted standards and regulations
- Leading, mentoring, and developing a dedicated team to deliver outstanding care and support
- Creating and managing individual care plans, risk assessments, and safeguarding processes
- Budget management and effective resource allocation
- Maintaining strong relationships with external agencies, families, and local authorities
- Managing on-call duties outside of regular hours
Requirements:
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management (Children and Young People’s Services) is essential
- Previous experience as a Registered Manager in a children’s residential setting, with a proven track record of Ofsted compliance
- Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
- Knowledge of current legislation and best practices in children’s residential care
- Full UK driving licence is required
