Corporate Tax Manager - Milton KeynesAbout Our Client Our client is a well-established organization based in Milton Keynes seeking an experienced Corporate Tax Manager to join their finance team. They offer a collaborative work environment with opportunities for professional growth and development.
The Role Reporting to the Head of Tax, the successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing the corporate tax function and providing strategic tax advice to support business objectives.
Key Responsibilities - Oversee the preparation and review of UK corporate tax returns and computations
- Provide technical tax guidance on UK and international tax matters
- Develop and implement tax planning strategies to optimize the tax position
- Manage HMRC relationships, including audits and enquiries
- Stay current with tax legislation changes and assess their impact
- Implement and maintain robust tax risk management processes
- Liaise with external tax advisors when required
- Mentor and develop junior members of the tax team
Required Qualifications & Experience - Professional qualification (ACA, CTA, ACCA or equivalent)
- Minimum 5 years' corporate tax experience with at least 2 years at manager level
- Comprehensive knowledge of UK corporate tax legislation
- Experience with tax compliance software and advanced Excel skills
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex tax concepts clearly
Desirable Experience - Experience within a multinational business environment
- Knowledge of international tax principles and transfer pricing
- Familiarity with SAP or similar ERP systems
- Industry-specific tax experience (details can be tailored to your client's sector)
