Our client, a well-established school based in Sheffield, is seeking a finance assistant to join their finance team. They are looking for an enthusiastic member of staff to assist with the school's financial systems, including processing and review of orders, deliveries, invoices, payroll and payments.Your new role

Our client is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Finance Assistant to join their team. As a Finance Assistant, you will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records, assisting with accounts payable and receivable, and supporting the finance team.1. To operate computer-based and manual financial and clerical systems within the school in a secure and confidential manner.2. To operate the school's financial systems, including processing and review of orders, deliveries, invoices and payments.3. To prepare appropriate documents for the senior staff as required.4. To operate, maintain and develop the school inventory and prepare reports as necessary.5. To journal transactions and payroll. What you'll need to succeed

• Prior experience in a finance or accounting role is preferred.
• Experience of working within schools preferred
• Experience with SIMS
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software.
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
