This is a varied, responsible Accountant role, working closely with the Finance Director in an established, friendly and growing company in Tamworth, which has good access to the A5 and M42 road links.

Accountant Responsibilities:

• Ensuring all financial transactions are accurately recorded
• Support in the preparation of monthly management accounts
• Reconcile the Balance Sheet control accounts including Bank
• Reconcile Supplier statements, and support authorisation for payments
• Calculate and post accruals/prepayments and depreciation journals
• Control and review the nominal/general ledger movements

Accountant Skills and Experience:

• Ideally, you will have broad accounting experience and a good understanding of accounting principles
• StudiedAAT and further accounting qualifications would be most useful
• You will have great attention to details, and strong Excel skills
• Knowledge of the Sage System would be advantageous
• Have a critical eye to suggest improvements to financial processes in a time of growth
