Electrical Project Manager - The Role:

The Electrical Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating all aspects of project delivery for client projects. Key focuses include ensuring quality, effective communication, and high levels of customer satisfaction.

To excel in this role, you should have a minimum of three years' experience in construction or a related industrial field. An electrical engineering background is preferred, with a solid understanding of power generation equipment. You must hold relevant qualifications and demonstrate a track record of successfully managing project goals through strategic planning, implementation assessment, and progress evaluation.

This position is best suited for individuals currently managing projects spanning various disciplines. We are seeking a proactive team leader with strong communication skills, who is eager to learn and contribute to a dynamic business with ambitious growth plans.

Electrical Project Manager - Key Responsibilities:

- Responsible for day-to-day management of projects, including planning, budgeting, purchasing, Invoicing, overseeing and documenting all aspects of the project

- Effective liaison, support, assistance and cooperation with all members of the organisation, its suppliers and customers

- Ensure that the focus on enhancing customer satisfaction is maintained

- Regular communication with site engineers and clients to ensure the scope is being achieved within the expected quality, cost, timeframe and customer satisfaction

- Responsibly use resources and control expenses to meet financial aspects of the projects

- Adhere to all organisational and national policies and procedures and applicable regulations

- Reporting on a monthly basis or as otherwise agreed to clients on project progress and to your line manager including earned value analysis on a project-by-project basis

- Ensuring that all risk assessments and method statements for the delivery process are effectively in place

Essential:

- Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience in engineering or project management

-3+ years of construction/industrial related experience, in particular energy projects

- Management experience to line manage Project Engineers / sub-contractors

- Effective planning

-Practical knowledge of the power general

- Microsoft Office including Microsoft Project

- Strong leadership, organisational and decision-making capabilities

- Above average communication, collaboration and delegation skills

- Strong working knowledge of operational procedures

- IOSH Managing Safely or NEBOSH equivalent

-H&S awareness and certification

- Full valid driving license

- Knowledge of permit to work systems and safe systems of work

-Flexibility to travel nationwide with overnight stays

Desirable:

-Electrical background is preferred

- Knowledge of power generation, electrical switchgear and control systems

- Knowledge of CDM Regulations would be beneficial

- A project management qualification such as APMP or Prince 2 would also be of benefit
