The Talent Set are excited to be working with a highly regarded Membership organisation who are looking for a creative Media Manager.

As the Media Manager you will play a key role in promoting the brand by utilising effective communication and working with internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Write, edit, and distribute press releases, media statements, and briefing materials for senior spokespeople.

• Respond promptly and accurately to media inquiries, often under tight deadlines.

• Build and maintain strong relationships with journalists, editors, and media outlets across print, broadcast, and digital platforms.

• Proactively pitch stories and secure media coverage for key campaigns, initiatives, and events.

• Provide clear and concise messaging, offering strategic advice to senior leadership in high-pressure situations.

• Collaborate with other teams to ensure messaging is aligned and consistent across all communications.

Person Specification:

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce high-quality content under pressure.

• Previous experience in a membership organisation or charity.

• Extensive experience working in a fast-paced media and communications team.

• Proven track record in delivering high-quality media relations and communications services.

• Experience building relationships with media outlets and successfully placing stories in regional and national press.

• Skilled at identifying opportunities in the news agenda, handling reactive queries, and managing reputational risks.

• Ability to write accurate, engaging, and SEO-optimized content for digital channels that is accessible, persuasive, and drives website traffic.
