What makes the perfect Experienced SEN Teaching Assistant?

A proven track record of working with children with special educational needs, particularly those with autism and EHCPs
Extensive experience supporting autistic children in an educational setting (essential)
A compassionate, patient, and adaptable nature, with excellent communication skills
The ability to work autonomously and confidently manage one-on-one and group learning sessions
Training in SEN support highly preferred
What would a day in the life of an Experienced SEN Teaching Assistant look like?

Provide one-on-one and group support for Key Stage 2 children with specific educational needs
Implement strategies to help students with autism and other learning challenges access the curriculum effectively
Collaborate closely with the class teacher to develop individualized learning plans and tailored support strategies
Manage challenging behaviours and ensure students feel supported, safe, and included in classroom activities
Utilise your experience to offer both pastoral and academic support across multiple subjects
Be a key part of a supportive team dedicated to enhancing the learning experience for SEN children
Salary and Benefits:

As an Experienced SEN Teaching Assistant - Earn £(Apply online only) per week
Full-time position, Monday-Friday (35 hours per week)
Immediate start for the 2024/25 academic year
State-of-the-art, brand new SEN provision
Full Makaton training to be provided
