Location: London / London Bridge
Permanent, full-time - 37.5 hrs a week (Nights only)
Salary: £40,447 - £48,705 (including London uplift) + shift allowance

Pulse is working alongside an “Outstanding” rated private hospital and one of the specialist UK cancer centres. As specialists in blood disorders and cancer care, the hospital is continually at the forefront of clinical innovation and research.

With an approach of re-investing in their hospitals, allowing them to offer the very latest treatments, tools and technology in delivering cancer care. Such as the JACIE accredited bone marrow/stem cell transplant service, to their newly developed CART T-cell therapy programme - which is revolutionising cancer care.

As a Senior Staff Nurse you will join the Cancer Nursing Team at one of our state-of-the-art cancer centres. Featuring theatres, chemotherapy and radiotherapy, oncology and surgical wards, and a 4x bed intensive care unit, were they deliver a level of care rarely found in the private sector.

Key Responsibilities;

* You will help assess, plan, deliver, and evaluate high standards of specialist care while also being an advocate for the patient, ensuring all their medical, physical, and emotional needs are met by communicating effectively with them and their families.

* You'll work on a variety of complex cases, but also with the very latest treatment, tools and techniques - allowing you to provide the best possible care for your patients

* The ability to lead and motivate a team

* More control over assessment and treatment decisions whilst having the support you need to develop your career into Sister or Matron role

Key skill sets required;

* A current NMC Nurse registration

* Experience in chemotherapy administration

* Post-registration experience within a haematology or oncology setting or equivalent

* Clinical skills in; venepuncture, cannulation, and the administration of intravenous drugs

* Wide and evidence-based knowledge of systemic anti-cancer treatments (e.g., chemotherapy, immunotherapy, radiotherapy) and the known and lesser-known side effects of these
