We are delighted to be partnering with a dynamic and ambitious food manufacturing business based in Wales, currently seeking a high-calibre Commercial Director to join their senior leadership team. This is a pivotal role within a growing company that, while entrepreneurial and fast-paced at a local level, is backed by the strength and resources of a leading pan-European food group.

As the Commercial Director, you will be responsible for leading all commercial activities across the business - from strategic customer relationships and new business development through to pricing, margin management, and contract negotiation. You will play a key role in shaping and executing the commercial strategy to support continued growth in both UK and international markets.

This is an exceptional opportunity for a proven Commercial Director or senior commercial leader with experience in FMCG or food manufacturing. You'll bring a strong track record of delivering commercial success, building high-performing teams, and operating effectively in a matrixed, group-led environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and deliver the commercial strategy aligned with business objectives and group targets

Lead and manage customer relationships across retail, foodservice, and B2B channels

Identify and execute growth opportunities, including NPD, channel expansion, and strategic partnerships

*

Monitor market trends and competitor activity to inform commercial decisions

Collaborate cross-functionally with Operations, Finance, and Marketing to ensure commercial alignment

Candidate Profile:

A seasoned Commercial Director with extensive experience in the food manufacturing or FMCG sectors

Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence at board and group level

Commercially astute with a deep understanding of pricing, margin optimisation, and contract negotiation
