Job Summary:As the Finance Manager, you will oversee day-to-day financial operations, including managing accounts payable and receivable, cash flow, and ensuring compliance with laws and regulations. You will play a critical role in financial reporting and strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
Monthly Management Reports:
- Review month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities for accurate financial reporting.
- Analyse financial data to identify trends and variances.
Corporate Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and accounting principles.
- Liaise with external auditors during the annual audit process.
- Monitor PAYE settlement agreements and ensure timely HMRC submissions.
Payroll:
- Review payroll reports and ensure accuracy of payroll processes.
- Oversee bonus accruals and annual leave provisions.
- Ensure timely completion of payroll year-end processes.
Cashflow Management:
- Ensure timely supplier and intergroup payments.
- Monitor expenses and ensure timely collection of fees.
- Raise weekly funding requests to Treasury.
Systems and Controls:
- Ensure effective operation of ERP systems.
- Recommend and implement solutions to improve operational efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with Group accounting policies.
Team Leadership:
- Manage the finance team to meet all deliverables on time.
- Conduct bi-annual team appraisals and performance reviews.
- Mentor and support team members for optimal performance.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; Master’s degree or professional certifications
- Minimum of 5 years in a similar role; audit experience is highly favourable.
- In-depth knowledge of financial principles, regulations, and reporting standards (e.g., IFRS, GAAP).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in financial software and ERP systems with advanced MS Excel skills.
