Overview

Gallagher Re is looking to hire a Client Service Manager to join our growing Specialty team!

This role will manage one of our servicing teams, driving improvements and developing team members to support client and business needs and ensure a high quality of service at all times.


How you'll make an impact

  • Responsible for the delivery of client service through a Client Servicing Team for their Class of Business - from a People Management and internal Account Servicing Ownership point of view
  • Has sole or joint ownership (with other CoB CSMs) for the end-to-end servicing for an agreed set of accounts, managing resource to deliver against those requirements by prioritising and allocating the team’s work according to skill and capacity
  • Manage a multi-location and multi-discipline client service team
  • Understand the technical disciplines, associated processes and all relevant servicing systems
  • Overall responsibility for the operational efficiency and effectiveness of the client servicing team, including managing and flexing resources through business cycle peaks and troughs – collaborating with other CSMs, within and across CoBs, as the need arises to redistribute workload
  • Provide input and recommendations, as required and appropriate, regarding staff levels, staff hiring, setting salaries and bonus levels for handlers in their team
  • Responsible for ensuring team meets all relevant regulatory and technical standards
  • Oversee team’s KPIs to meet strategic objectives and evaluating performance
  • Proactively manage team workflow and metric reporting to identify trends and variances and instigate action plans, where required, to address ongoing issues
  • Accountable for supporting and enabling cross-training team members across the different disciplines
  • Manage operational co-ordination in India by delegating people responsibilities to People Managers in relation to India-based handlers
  • Ownership of overall work allocation and technical output reviews for India-based handlers, prioritising and organising work according to business priorities

About You

  • Preferably ACII qualified or working towards the ACII qualification or equivalent
  • A good knowledge of the industry in order to address client and technical issues
  • Good working knowledge of the regulatory environment of the key business unit jurisdictions
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to organise and prioritise
  • Ability to work in a team and autonomously; and general willingness to learn and grow
  • Ability to build strong working relationships with both Clients and Colleagues
  • Eligible to work in the UK
