Junior CAD Technician

Location: St Ives, Cambridgeshire

Hours: Monday - Thursday 8:30am - 17:00 and Friday 8:30am - 16:00

Salary: £25,000

Benefits: 22 days holiday + 8 bank holidays, company enrolled pension, discretionary annual bonus, annual summer and Christmas social parties, free on-site parking

Calling all Junior engineers! Due to continued growth, my client based in St Ives is seeking a Junior CAD Technician to join their team.

We are seeking candidates who have experience either with mechanical engineering as a time served apprentice, technician or with pre-existing CAD experience from any industry!

Duties to Include:

* Produce 3D CAD models, manufacturing drawings and Bill of Materials using SolidWorks and AutoCAD with supplied design information.

* Work closely with team members and communicate effectively with clients to ensure designs are approved and ready for production.

* Specify material and equipment required for project.

* Implement quality standards throughout work and develop where possible.

* Update existing manufacturing drawings where required.

* Maintain databases.

What we are looking for:

* Experience with SolidWorks producing details designs, AutoCAD also advantageous but training can be provided.

* Some knowledge of engineering principles and technical drawing standards.

* An excellent attention to detail.

* Able to manage own workload and prioritise tasks.

* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

* Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
