Technical Sales Engineer / Estimator - Mechanical & Electrical Services

We are looking for a qualified and experienced Technical Sales Engineer/Estimator to join our clients team. This role involves selling our company's M&E services and requires a strong background in estimating, as well as procuring new business opportunities in both the manufacturing and fabricating workshop, and field service activities. Company is a leader in providing repairs, installations, and engineering consultancy services to the heavy engineering sectors. Our esteemed clients span industries such as power generation, petro -chem, aggregate, utilities, large process plants, and logistics. Committed to minimizing downtime, maintaining asset availability, and ultimately maximizing our customers' revenue streams.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Attend customer sites to scope, measure, and qualify materials from

engineering drawings/specifications

• Produce quotations, pricing, and tender bids

• Maintain communication with clients throughout the process

• Achieve monthly sales targets. Follow sales action plans and strategies

• Resolve customer complaints effectively

• Conduct proactive sales calls to generate more sales. Attend weekly sales

meetings

• Manage client relationships end-to-end for an excellent customer experience

• Promote the business brand consistently

• Ensure timely delivery of information

Experience/Skills/Quals Required:

• Experience in sales/estimation within a similar engineering or manufacturing

environment

• Ability to produce quotations and conceptual designs/sketches

• Highly literate and numerate, with commercial acumen

• Confidence in dealing directly with decision makers and customers

• Proficiency in CRM, CAD software, and other sales tools

• Flexible and adaptive to changing requirements

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills

• Focus on quality and the ability to emphasize its importance

• HNC/HND Engineering or similar quals

Desirable Technical Skills

• Experience in an estimating role

• Understanding of technical drawings, manufacturing methods, and engineering principles

• Industry experience in machining and fabrication services

• Good market knowledge

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office & Excell etc

• Ability to strengthen customer relationships and develop new business opportunities

• Skill in making presentations to promote new products and services

• Competence in compiling quotations and sales specifications

Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 p.a + Plus potential £5,0000 performance related bonus.
