Our client is seeking a dedicated Health and Safety Business Partner to join their team. What you'll do:

As a Health and Safety Business Partner, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the operational management team in delivering an effective health and safety management system. You will be responsible for overseeing the development of safe systems of work while making SMART recommendations for compliance. Your role will also involve acting as an internal consultant on H&S duties, providing practical solutions to managers. Additionally, you will undertake H&S assessments while advising managers through risk assessments. Your ability to stay updated with changes in legislation, H&S initiatives, and best practices will be crucial for this role.

• Support managers in ensuring a safe and compliant work environment including the implementation of the SHE plan
• Oversee the development and review of safe systems of work
• Make SMART recommendations for compliance, best practice, and corrective action implementation
• Act as an internal consultant providing guidance on H&S duties
• Undertake H&S assessments, advising managers through risk assessments
• Support senior management with external stakeholder engagement
• Represent the H&S team in external/internal meetings
• Stay updated with changes in legislation, H&S initiatives, and best practices

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for the Health and Safety Business Partner position is adaptable with the ability to react quickly to changes. She possesses strong teamwork skills with proven leadership abilities. A good commercial understanding is essential along with the ability to work independently towards set targets. Experience in building credible relationships with both internal and external stakeholders is a must. An understanding of Warehouse Management Systems will be beneficial. Previous experience in a similar role within the logistics and warehousing industry would be highly desirable.
