Warehouse Operative

4on4off - Day Shift & Night Shift available

UCH Logistics is a dynamic, customer focused provider of specialist transport services to the airfreight industry. Established in 2000, we have built a reputation for offering reliable, time-sensitive and next day deliveries throughout the UK.

We are now seeking to expand our team with experienced Warehouse Operatives.

This is a varied role within our busy UCH2 export Warehouse and will include, but is not limited to the following:

• Operating a Fork Lift Truck to safely unload, load and move freight.
• Checking in and booking in shipments on our in-house system
• Unloading and loading freight from company and third party vehicles (including double deck trailers)
• Ensuring the warehouse is kept in a safe, tidy manner
• Carrying out a variety of warehouse-related tasks

The right candidates must have:

• Excellent Fork Lift Truck operating skills, observing safety and efficiency at all times
• A full 5-year checkable work and location history

The right candidates will ideally have:

• A flexible and adaptable approach and the ability to make a valuable contribution to this busy team
• To enjoy physical and varied work
• The ability to communicate well
• The ability to produce computer generated paperwork
• Great customer service and team working skills
• Airfreight/logistics industry experience an advantage

In return, you will receive:

• £13 - £13.50 per hour (£26,169 - £27,175 per annum) (depending on shift)
